Hello Tacoma World, new member here. Also new to doing my own maintenance, so sorry if this is a dumb question.

I have a 21' 2.7L 2wd Tacoma (bought new) currently at 76.5K miles . I found the maintenance map from Team Oil Drop which I plan to follow starting at the 80k interval and going forward.

That said, this past weekend I took my first stab at doing my own maintenance by replacing the front brake pads and rotors, cabin air filter, and the engine air filter. All the oil changes have been done by the dealership, they're still free, every 5-7k miles. Besides that, no other maintenance has been done, that I can remember at least.

My Question is, in reference to the maintenance map, should I go back and do the maintenance that was missed, or should I just hit them as they come back up in the maintenance schedule? or maybe hit a select few? Thank you in advance.

What was missed, specifically? If it was ATF service, rear differential, then yes, I would do those ASAP.
I will be changing the rear diff oil in two week, when I do my next engine oil change, at 17,500 miles.

Looking at the maintenance map, yeah it looks like those were missed. Along with maintenance for the transfer case and spark plugs. I am just going to hit all those things, I've been having an itch to work on my truck anyway. Thanks!

All that plus power steering fluid, coolant and serpentine belt.

Be careful with spark plugs, there are lot of knockoffs floating around. Buy them from a Toyota dealer, or from a Toyota dealer on Amazon (there are a few there).

For power steering a turkey baster works great. 3 radiator drains will replace most of the coolant.

Bravo ! on cutting the dealership service scam. Yes do anything you are over on. Tip for doing service work. Follow a routine of mapping in your mind the steps you need to complete the task. Make sure to go over everything when you are done so you dint miss anything
