Oh, THAT'S how it works.

I've decided that I don't need it. My wife's Camry has 4 cameras, with the bird's eye view. I don't use it. She sure does, and loves it.

    Me, not so much.

But it does seem like a cool setup.

My video shows how it all works.

To your point about the Camry, my Audi has the birds eye view along with a front camera. I agree in a car because it so low to the ground it not really needed. But I’m my Tacoma I use the front camera a lot.

Praneel? If that is your name. Sorry if it isn’t. I just got my parts in and I notice that the camera has a larger black wire and a pair with black and red together coming from the camera side and on the head unit end there is an rca plug and also a short red wire. In your video you show that you hook up only the short single red wire on the rca end to power. What do you do with the red and black pair coming from the camera? Just disregard? I’m thinking maybe those are for a different type hookup.

    Thanks,
    Rob

    Great write-up OP!
Do you know if this will work on a 2nd gen Entune? Sounds like it to me.
What about if the Entune gets switched out for aftermarket?
    Thanks!

Hi Rob - Yes, just disregard the red and black wire bundle. I just wrap it up and tucked it away be sure to tape the ends just in case.

I just ordered this kit & the toptier front camera from Amazon yesterday. Its shipping from Hong Kong so it will be awhile but I finally knocked it off the list of stuff I've been wanting to get :bananadance:

Installed mine with your (OP) help! Thanks for the video. Everything went really easy. I just didn’t mount the camera yet. Not sure where I’m putting it. I’m working on a custom grill setup from Customcargrills.com and not totally finished with it yet. So when that is done, I’ll find a good place to mount the camera.

    Thanks,
    Rob

If anyone is on the fence about this product, I’ve been told they may discontinue the module soon. So you might want to get your order in. Here are the links.

Cool. I ordered my module and camera last week (the camera is here, the module is on the way). I've watched the videos and read the instructions and I think i understand the front camera hookup to the module RCA plug and splice the red wire for power (ignore the additional red/black wire coming from camera). My question is the do I do anything with the rear camera as the diagram shows or do I just leave it as is (attaching the 2 cable harnesses to the module will allow the rear camera to function normally without any additional wiring)?

Thanks OP for the recommendation and vid including how you routed the wiring. I like it that it doesn’t need an additional switch and uses the stock steering Mode button. I received my CSCCS and Natika on Friday. Installed it today and it works great.

we shall see. I ordered a set for my truck. Have it just have not installed it yet. The base model entunes on both trucks are essentially the same so no reason it would not work. Front camera is a nice to have some from the guys I know that have added one.

Wow, I didn’t realize how handy it is to have a front camera until we drove in the back country of Oregon this summer on some very remote roads and trails where there were a lot of high points to drive over and we couldn’t see past the hood. Turning on the camera acted as a spotter and made it possible to easily negotiate the route when we couldn’t see anything but sky past the hood!

It’s not as cool as the ‘transparent hood’ HUD like Land Rover is testing, but it sure works well otherwise!
