Aft market grill and $21 garnish.

The camera is under the "OT"... Tilted so the bumper is just barely off screen.

I plan on installing mine a little bit right or left of center as well (TRD Pro grill). Do you have a pic of what the video looks like when it's mounted off center like that? I'll use my front camera mostly for parking and to make sure that the front is all clear of kids and animals before pulling out.

It looks completely centered, just like the off-center rear camera.

I do wish I could move the guide graphics on the Entune like I can on newer heads. The steering indicator would be useful too.

That's a different project though. I'm thinking Rock64 single board computer, 10" OLED capacitive touch, full topo and street mapping/nav, full 360 DVR camera system, builtin GSM data and wifi AP, and an epic, if mildly disturbing, big-butts porn stash burned right into the firmware.

Thanks. I'm gonna tackle it on Friday. About how long did it take you to do the install?

    Why wait on me?

I haven't checked, but the Adafruit touchscreen will probably fit in the existing bezel. A Raspberry Pi 4 will easily do most/all of what I described. A 2TB solid state disk is the only pricey bit, but 2TB of big-butt porn makes that a wise add-on.

40 minutes, I guess. 10 of that was making a 4mil shim to compensate for mounting height. That probably doesn't matter anyway.

Another hour for routing wire, hooking up the smart switch, wondering should I build a 4-channel switch instead, deciding no because too many projects as-is..

For those prices I would prefer my big butt porn be on three 1TB drives in a RAID 5 config, for uh, posterity's sake.

I got mine working now thanks to the OP with his great video. I mounted mine under the license plate holder as here in Hawaii it’s illegal to run without the front plate. The one question I have is can the forward view be left on indefinitely instead of just 30 seconds as in case you go off roading and want to see where you are going and not have to hit the mode button every time it goes off?

Yes double tap the mode button & then up arrow to front camera holding it down till you hear a beep. It will lock on to the camera. From there you can switch back & forth without them turning off

I just spotted this and subscribed to the YouTube video. It looks very interesting and later on I'll study it in detail.

I finished mine last night. The hardest part is punching through the firewall.

That's reeeally close to the TSS's receiver portion of the radome. If you get intermittent PCS OFF light, you can move it a couple of inches left/right and it should work again.

    It looks really good there.

So far so good in that position. It's easy enough to move to the left or right without affecting the view out of the front (heck, our backup camera is also off center).

Question on routing through the firewall. It appears you have to pierce the rubber gasket with a hole large enough for an rca plug. Or is it possible to have it come out directly where the hood latch cable runs through the gasket? And to confirm on the TopTier camera, you can use the red wire on both ends for the power for the camera. Thanks in advance.

I pierced the gasket with a coat hanger style rod & looped the camera cable with electrical tape onto the rod so the RCA jack wasn't the leader. Wasn't too bad of a challenge.

Yep used the red wire on both ends of the TopTier camera cable for power to the kit. Worked great!
