Has anyone cobbled together a Quad Lock wireless charging head on a DMM? I found this thread, but it's not a charging head.

I can't tell from the pics on the Quad Lock website if I can attach the wireless charging head to the 1" ball mount motorcycle accessory in place of the non-charging head. The non charging head has a hole through the middle but the wireless doesn't.

I bought quadlock to use on my motorcycles. the cases were terrible. I went with this mount in the truck. Ordered holder from Amazon as well as dumbell adaptor to 1" Ram mount. works great!wireless phone.jpg wirelessmount.jpg

I ran all the wires inside the dash to a power supply. Both on the passenger side Micro and C can pull out and be used by the passenger or power Tablet/Phone in the passenger mount

I've had a quad lock for 2 years and I'm happy with it. Use it with a windshield mount and a bicycle mount.
I appreciate your info and will keep it in mind as an option.
I got a message back from Quad Lock saying I couldn't adapt the wireless head to the motorcycle ball mount, but they have something in the works....

I modded Quadlock wireless charge head to fit on a Ram mount actually. I've been using it since March and it's been awesome.

I have it mounted to my EE 3TPAM. I used the ball mount from this it: RAM-B-367U

Take the back cover off the charge head and ditch their mounting piece. Then use a bolt, nut, and fender washer to tighten down the ball mount.

Thanks SRC. That’s exactly the scenario I was hoping for in mounting the charging head to the ball. I just couldn’t find any info about the back side of the head. I appreciate the post and info! Nice setup btw.

What was the problem with your case? Mine has some slight bowing on the side after 2 years but not enough for me to feel it’s an issue or cause a problem with function.

I don’t have the wireless head, and no, it won’t work on the ram ball.

however, it’s a great setup otherwise and I ordered 2 flat lightning cables off Amazon and fished them out of the center console (I also have a console safe, hence the need for flat cables).

2 different cable lengths, one is long enough to reach the backseat of its needed there, both long enough to reach my phone in the mount.

the DMM and Quadlock setup doesn’t budge on/off road. Works on my motorcycle and MTB also.

    highly recommend.
