Do 1st Gen Taco Mirrors Fit 3rd Gen 4runners?

Hello. I haven't been very active on here since I bought myself a 4runner, but I still look around every now and then. So, I am wondering if there is a difference between the 3rd generation 4runner mirrors and the 1st generation Tacoma mirrors. I ask because many of the guys on T4R.org have very stupid looking tow mirrors, and I know from when I frequented this forum that some of you guys had almost stock looking tow mirrors. So I was thinking if the mirrors from a Tacoma were compatible (or almost compatible) with the 4runner, then the aftermarket would be the same or very close, so I could run that info back to T4R.org, and maybe get me some different mirrors(one of mine is cracked)!
