After much debating about whether I should ditch this Revtec spacer lift/blown shocks for true coilovers or 5100s/Eibachs... I've decided on the 5100/Eibach combo.

I've heard nothing but good about that setup, and through price savings alone, I'll be able to purchase a nice rear bumper.

I bought this truck with the Revtec already on it. It was a dealer installed item. Now, the driver side shock has been leaking for quite some time, and the passenger side shock has just started leaking. I'm anxious to get this spacer lift out of there and the 5100s in place.
However... I've noticed a lot of people talking about how they had to get new top plates for the 5100s, because their spacer lift did away with them?

I have an appointment at a buddies shop next Saturday, so if I need to get new top plates, I will, but if I don't need to, then I won't.

Can anyone on here take a look at these pics and tell me if I already have the correct top plates, or will I need to purchase them?

I'm ordering the following from Toytec:

    5100s
    Eibach Springs
New Upper Bushings (for top plate washers)
    Diff Drop Kit
    Steering Rack Bushings

Look like I'm good to, or what?

Ok, I see what you mean now. Looks like I will have to get new top plates though, right? Because I don't have the stock studs and it doesnt look like there is any rubber isolator on these?

Yeah, you will want the rubber isolator. You could just get the studs instead of the whole thing.

Yeah I figured I would want the isolator. Any idea why the Revtec doesn't use the isolator?

And can you check this out and see if it will be what I need?

It looks right, but from my searches on here I couldnt find anyone that listed a part number for the top plate kit.

It looks like it has the rubber piece under it, and it comes with stock studs/nuts as well.

Napa is listing it for $23.99 per side, so that seems like a good price to me.

In case the link ever gets broken for the Napa part, the part number is:

    ATM 1042474

I'm going to call my store tomorrow and see if they have them in stock. If not, I'll get them on order so that they will be here in time.

I noticed in the Revtec Installation Instructions like that was posted earlier, it says that the kit came with a Diff Drop. If that's the case, then I won't have to order one from Toytec, and that alone will almost pay for the Top Plates!

Also note that Napa lists another Top Plate kit that is made by KYB, and sells for $64.99 per side.

I ALWAYS get my OEM parts from Toyota, but in this case, I don't really see how the toyota top plate could be much better?
Hopefully this won't come back to bite me later...

Thanks, I just saw your thread where you had to buy the same thing. Did you end up getting your parts from Napa too?

And it's a good thing I caught this today. I called a Napa that was actually open, and they're saying that the closest they can get these from is Chicago.
Said 3-5 business days to get here... So, we'll see. I'm going to call Toyota tomorrow and see what they can do price wise, and lead time.

I looked on their site earlier, and they weren't listing anything for my 2002... Do you happen to have the part number that you used?

I live in Arkansas. The lady said that's the standard time frame for something being ordered like that. But she said in my case, I'm probably looking at closer to 5 business days.

Now that I think about it, I really only need the rubber isolator. I know that the studs on my top plate have been extended by 1/2", but that really shouldn't matter. Just be a little more stud sticking out the top.

I'm calling Toyota tomorrow to see if maybe they can just get the isolator for me.

Has anyone ever ordered this part from Toyota? What about the top plate as a kit?

Even trying that part number on their site doesn't pull anything up. Weird.
