Sorry for the newbie Q, but I seem to be getting conflicting info on the web. I want to order some black step bars or Nerf bars or step rails or whatever you call them ASAP, and I'm not sure which choices are correct based on my cab style. Does it even matter when ordering this type of product?

I have a 2-door, 2004, 4WD with the small jump seats in back. Thanks for looking.

Toyota calls this the access cab, but others may call this an extended cab, as that is a generic term for the type of truck you have.

I just noticed that here on this web site, the only choices under "Edit Profile" are "Regular Cab, Access Cab, Double Cab, and X-Runner."

On my original window sticker it says "XTRACAB."

Access Cabs have two extra doors............. meaning *access to the cab*
    Xtra Cabs don't!!

I love my access cab doors!! They rule!!

I think it is fair to say that based on the answers here, and the variety of terms used by the vendors on the Internet, that the nomenclature is not standardized.
