I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but I couldn't find it. I know DTRLs are an option. I bought my truck used so is there an easy way to tell if my truck came with DTRLs and maybe they've just been disabled? Thanks in advance.

If the truck is running, and the lights are in the 'off' position, and there are NO lights turned on in the front, then you do not have DTRLs...

I know that much, but I'm wondering if there is an easy way to find out if they're there and just disable. I guess I need to find all the different ways there are to disable them and then basically reverse engineer from there.

if you look at the back of the headlight the wire that runs to the turn signal if you have dtrl's you will have three wires back there if no then you will have 2.

It does seem that most here want DTRLs, but a lot of Chevy owners disable them. The grass is always greener, right? All you have to do on a Chevy is pull the relay out and bend out one of the tabs (plug the relay back in) and all done. I will check the back of the headlights and the fuse panel, thanks guys.
