Buy a tread-depth tool at Autozone, about $3.50. Then Google “safe tire tread depth”. Compare your depth to the charts on Google. Or just say screw-it and go buy a set.

Looks like your inner tread has more than your outside tread in the pic. Alignment and new tires. My 2 cents.

You have at least 10K more miles left on those bad boys.
Run them until they are bald.

    Not a problem....cords ain't even showing.

I've had the experience of a cab ride in Seoul where you could see the air in the tires. That cab crabbed sideways around corners. I realized what China does with their worn out cabs....the send them to S. Korea.

Legally, in Michigan, your tires are illegal below 2/32nds of tread. You really don't want to go below about 5 or 6 for winter. But given that you're in Texas I suppose it just depends on what type of driving you're doing. If it is just on road you probably don't have to be in a big hurry but if you're off roading you're only hurting yourself.

I think (hope) this is the law everywhere in the US. And, I totally agree that 2/32" is nowhere near enough to be safe in winter!

Those aren't safe in Houston either.
A simple rain storm will make the roads like covered in ice.
Plus......the speeds and short space between vehicles makes for a bad situation on dry roads with good rubber.

    1) Use some drywall spackle to fill in the cracks. 2) Go to a skateboard shop and get grip tape, cut it in pieces and stick it to the remaining tread. You're welcome!

My 6 year old walked in right when I opened this thread and said, "Yikes! Looks like he needs to buy new tires, fast!"
