Yeah, I experienced that with a 2018 Ford focus I had when I found out that it had a wet belt amongst Stupid things Ford did With the eco-boost

You mentioned thin oil. So do you not run 0-W20 in yours?

    I have a 2nd gen

    4.0 V6 that takes regular old 5w-30

I'm just saying in general, cars are moving towards 0w-20 for efficiency reasons

May I recommend 33x10? True 33” tires got less rolling resistance and weight of a 33x11 tire (I think the only tire that’s lighter in that size is BFG KO2 C load, mine are E load for extra protection off road.

They look good, more “utilitarian” IMO:

Added benefit of skinnier tire is better performance off road in most situations. They are better in snow too.

That’s an awesome looking truck. But I don’t know if I wanna fill the wheel well like that. My tires are 265/60r18 Hankook Dynapro ATM Which I believe are 31 inches. I kind of like the space between the tire and the wheel well.IMG_0644.jpg

I would like to black Out the rims though. I seen a thread on that about vinyls or power coating. Some suggested spray painting. But I don’t know about spray painting over chrome.

I plasti dipped my centre caps like 5 years ago and it’s still good, just dirty. Of course there are more durable options but if prepped correctly and at least 5-7 light coats of plastic dip applied, it seems to last.

Yeah, I would like to get rid of the chrome though. Extreme Terrain Has black mirror covers I’m interested in. And Amazon has decal stickers that black them out but they’re like 100 bucks which is crazy. But they got good reviews and I definitely want to get those rims black. I think yeah that would make it look a lot better.

What kind of prep just a light sanding? and you sure that will stick to chrome? Chrome is very hard to paint over. It seems that it would have to be primed well first. I guess I’m not familiar with plasti dip

OK, I found it on Amazon. How many cans would you think I would need for all four rims?
