I think for me that mod is done. I’m very satisfied with how the truck drives and the power that it has. I would say my Blackhawk 2.0 tune, made all the difference.

So I’ve been watching videos on plasti dip. And I’m kind of undecided on the finish whether to go Matt or use The metalizer. Have you used either of these?

I improved my zero to sixty time by leaving my 3.5 bone stock and starting the timeclock 2 seconds after stepping on the gas pedal.

This thread was primarily about can mods improve horsepower. Not necessarily improving ones 0 to 60. I believe everything has already been Covered very thoroughly. I am grateful for those who gave me some very insightful feedback.

At 360 wheel hp, our development 3G 3.5L Auto picked up 6whp removing the OE muffler (OE manifolds and Ypipe retained)

At 400whp the factory air filter (new) in the OE airbox was within 1-2hp of an open intake with no filter installed.

I’ve always used the matte kind.

The nice thing about plasti dip is you can always peel it off, it’s not permanent.

I do know a lot of folk do not like plasti dip but it worked for me just fine on 2 of my trucks.

Previous truck i plasti dipped front/rear chrome bumper and plastic chrome grille:
    IMG_6281.jpg IMG_6771.png
    Held up just fine .

On my taco I plastic dipped the ugly chrome bezel surrounding the grille and my centre caps. 5 years later I have a few rock chips on the bezel but that’s about it.

Dont sand anything. Just degrease everything and make sure it’s super clean. Plasti dip sticks to anything quite well.

I found doing at least 6-7 light coats yields to best results.
