Took our truck in Saturday for its first service (5k oil change). Since its the first visit since purchase we thought we would mention that we are getting a thump out of the rear speakers. The service person said "you just have the bass turned up". To which I responded no its only at +1 and I would hope this JBL premium system could handle +1. I also informed her there is a TSB on this, she then replies. "That reminds me I need to bring mine in for the same thing". She says she will have them look at it while its there. We get the call a few hours later that it was just that the bass was turned up to high and that there is not a "recall" on this.
Did I say anything about a recall!!!!!!!!!!!!
So we pick the truck up and they just set the bass back to zero. LOL
Larry Miller in Peoria must think we are all just sheep in this world.

Next visit will be me, the truck and the copy of the TSB. Since they seem to not know their own jobs.

Why o why does it have to be so difficult. I feel sorry for those who do not know any better and just go through life being pushed off by poor service.

ALL Larry Miller dealerships out here are staffed with dolts.

Ask visa or my wife. They both constantly remind me how much I've got left to spend.
Most of the dealerships are staffed with dolts. I took my truck in for the free oil change that came with the truck and had them go ahead and rotate the tires for me. i noticed a few days later when I washed the truck that I was missing a lug and called them. After I got to looking at what happened I decided they had some untrained person working the impact gun and had broken the bolt off. I called them about fixing it and they had the balls to quote me a price on replacing it.

    That's classic.

What will they do for an encore, let air out of your tires instead of the rear TSB issue?

Is there a specific site to go to in order to track the TSB's?

I had a similar thing - I bought my truck new and one of the rear speakers was blown ehen I got it. They adjusted the bass and tried to get me to accept it, adjusted the fade/balance etc but I wasn't having it. Took them about 2 months to get a new speaker into stock to fit to my truck.

In their defense.... they deal with a lot of idiot owners. People that are just so retarded and don't know anything about vehicles.

Yeah..... Try being a WOMAN and go into these dealerships. As soon as I walk in the door, I'm already labeled as a dumb female. I always come prepared to prove them wrong. :D And I enjoy making them look even more stupid than me! :D

That happened to me to. Larry Miller Toyota broke my freakin lug then qouted me a price to fix it.. I just fixed it myself to save the hassle and time of dealing with them.

:rant:car dealerships, auto parts stores, and hardware stores are all the same. I always get helped by the guy that treats me like I'm a lost 3 year old. VERY ANNOYING!
I'm like you though, go in prepared and watch as their eyes glaze over and they begin to stutter. Its quite satisfying when they have to ask you to repeat what it is you're looking for because they have never heard of it before (or are surprised that you have).

They called yesterday to see how our service was. Lets just say I did not hold back. Told them how they treated me when I tried to get my suspension TSB done, Toyota gave me a reference number and they still played dumb, and now this weekend. They want me to bring it in again and work with a different service person. My fear is that things will really not change. Get a coke and a smile probably. The "Service Director" is the guy who played games on the suspension TSB. He wants to look at the bumpstops to see if they are hitting before ordering anything. I presume he manages all of these folks so I dont see how it will be any different. I told them if Toyota calls I will tell them the exact same thing. If there is someone that will treat me like I have an IQ above 10 I will go to them. Even if its a longer drive its worth it.
