I get looks all the time diving my truck. I would say the majority of the time they are good looks though. I have even got thums up from people at a stop light too. It's funny to see people's face when my girlfriend (all 4 foot 10 of her) jumps out after driving it.

I had a 04 Honda Accord 6speed coupe that I loved. I dropped it, changed out sways and did a lot of extra things to it. The car looked and drove really good. Not riced out. I used to get punk ass kids trying to race me constantly. I would get compliments and questions about it every so often. My biggest issue was the damn state troopers that would pull me over for speeding when I was driving in a pack of cars on the interstate. Ass holes! I am stopping short of naming the last two ass holes that pulled me a few months before I sold my car for my Tacoma. I will never forget the look on officer buttlick's face when I asked him why he didn't pull the girl in the Altima over that blew right by me in front of him yet he wanted me instead of the other 6 cars that were all driving together on the interstate. His reply after a brief stutter was "I know your type. Wait for your God damn ticket!" it's amazing cause I asked him why he was profiling me was it because of the car and he pretty much shoved the ticket into my hand as he walked away and I stuck my head out the window to call him an angry little elf. I dont get many looks or stares while driving the Tacoma and I am just fine with that. Thanks for allowing me to vent.

Ironically, many people who are buying into a stereotype and HAVE to drive a BMW, Merc, Audi, etc, for status are sadly leasing that vehicle.

Haha, trying to explain that to them would be as successful as explaining that to my dog.. Plus the newest truck in the bunch is a '78 so yeah, I'm pretty sure they're still American built.

I do that too. The only other people that I have seen do that other than Tacoma drivers is Wrangler drivers. I think it is cool that Tacoma owners have that kind of community!

Unfortunately I probably only get to drive how I theoretically want to (right on the speed limit, no one around me, no assholes nearby, good weather) probably 15% of the time if that, so naturally people give me dirty looks for no reason.

And that is not because I am driving a Tacoma, but because there is always an asshole in the bunch, and other people who think if you are not driving how they are, then you are 100% in the wrong.

And I don't tend to knock on people for driving certain vehicles because I did not pay for it so who cares, but BMW's with Jersey tags generally drive me nuts! ( no offense to anyone from NJ )

    Yup... sure do.

    In the Taco I'm invisible.

In my work truck... C7500 with a 13ft travel height... people get out of my fucking way!

I get looks all the time from others trucks, Tacomas, and most of the time I check out every Tacoma I see and wave. I guess the SWB is an attention getter.

When I drive my Accord....People throw things at me, call me names, and it makes me feel bad. When I get into my Tacoma, Trumpets sound. People ask if I will sit with them, and have a beer. Dogs wag their tails, and the post man delivers only porn.

I get looked at weird all the time. I live in a redneck town but i live in the less redneck part of town. Everyone around me wants the benz, the bmw, the range rover, and all those expensive "nice" rides. And all my neighbors hate my straight pipes and i get calls all the time telling me i need to tone it down late at night in the neighborhood. And i get called a redneck ass hole all the time because my neighbors try to be uppity rich people and then youve got me and my daddy who are rednecks in the middle of a "uppity" neighborhood. i just look at em, laugh, or say "f*ck off" and im on my way.

In two years resale value will be $7,000 so let her ball. I cant believe she even said that considering she's driving a Yukon starter kit.

This is pretty true. When I used to drive my dads 09 Corolla no one respected me vs driving my 09 Mustang. In the stang I get nothing but respect everywhere perhaps cuz of how it looks. In the truck it's 'normal'.

    The better coast
I don't really care to much much what people think of my car. I don't have a vehicle yet at school buy when I'm home I drive a chevy tracker. One of my female friends told me that my car is a "vagina-mobile" . But it an engine and 4 wheels and gets me where I need to go.

I definitely get different looks when I drive my work truck, but a big star on the door and a light bar on the roof tend to do that.
