This is exactly why I pull in front of Merc's, range rov's, caddy's or don't let them get around me. Or basically any one in a car that looks like they think they are better than everybody else. I get in front of them and slow down.

I had a car dealer once take me in front of a glass building just so I could see myself driving the car. I was like whatever dude. He said women liked to see what they would look like to other people while driving the car. Seems petty to me?

So intentionally fucking with anyone you deem "think they are better than everybody else" helps you feel better?

Lol at OP.. Exactly why I bought my truck.. I had a IS350 slammed with VSXXs and it got a lot of attention.. I liked/hated it, hated days when I just want to get from point a to b without getting someone revving at me or staring me down.. So I put the IS back to stock and gave it to my sister. The truck I like to call is the ultimate safe car.. No one bothers to look or race you. Haha

A few mods here and there and counting....
I love driving the Tacoma. No double takes from other drivers or police. I still have my 93 Civic Si fully modded up and only take it out once in a while and i absolutely hate the attention it gets. Don't want to sell it because it holds a sentimental value and i can't get much for it. For that reason, driving the Tacoma is pure joy. :D

The vast majority of motorcycle riders are very friendly. So-called "Bikers" are mostly just city thugs who can't feel secure unless they are in a gang. After grad school I rode around the country for a couple of years on a CB750 and met a whole lot of people out camping with motorcycles, they were usually retired folks and often vets who had nothing to prove and chose the best tool for the job, few of them rode Harleys.

Sold the tc because it wasn't practical. Everywhere it went it was getting stared at. It was low, and loud. By no means fast, but everyone else seemed to want to see how fast it was.
I sold that and bought myself a tacoma. I love just being able to drive it and nobody messes with it. Except some of the other trucks, but doesn't bother me.
CRX with goodies sits in the garage and the tacoma gets driven.

And its kinda nice to not have to turn sideways for speedbumps and I can actually go camping in my own car now

Yeah I did make a leap claiming ALL harley riders don't wave but most dont, especially around here. They're the type with the shortest pipes possible and ape hangers.

I can't remember the last time a guy on a sport bike didn't wave.

When I first started riding out on the highways people meeting me from the other direction on motorcycles would often stick out their legs and waggle their feet. I thought they were nuts until I realized that they were waving at me.

Totally! Most of the Harley riders I see are damn yuppies who trailer there bikes to Stugis. They love giving me flack about my '82 Goldwing. They shut their mouths when they find out I have more miles on that bike and have RODE to more places at the age of 28 then they have or ever well in their life. I wave at every rider but I find most HD riders find themselves "to cool" to wave back. *Off topic rant over.*

Shoot, I still ride the bus to work, only because its $15 bucks a day to park at work and my employer provides a bus pass. Its nice to not have to spend money commuting to work.

I haven't noticed much of a difference when I have driven different vehicles but I have noticed that sometimes when I'm in Denver people seem more likely to cut me off in traffic if I'm in a smaller vehicle.

I used to transport patients to Denver several times a year and people would cut me off in the ambulance. Every time I tried to leave enough room for safety someone would dart around me and fill the gap. I guess they figured that a 10,000 pound truck could stop on a dime.

Ive hauled large horse trailers though Denver, not a fun task, and people do the same thing. Ive also seen more than a few semis get passed with only a few feet to spare and a few times where there was not enough room to spare, its amazing what happens to a civic when it is doing 90 and clips a semi. I have noticed that I personally have gotten cut off worse when in a small car but it still happens regardless of what you're driving its just worse in a vehicle that can't stop quickly.

Not sure how this turned into a Denver traffic bashing, I drive here all the time and find it pretty tame. Crowded but not too aggressive. maybe the northwest side toward Boulder is more peaceful?

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I ride a Harley, and wave when I can, but sometimes I find it dangerous to lift my hand off the handlebars, thats why I don't often do it! Safety first!

As far as getting treated differently, in my 78 Bronco people get the hell out of my way, nobody is dumb enough to pull out in front of me either, they know my Bronco would win so they know better. Also when I park at the store, nobody parks near me, an old beat up 4x4 seems to make people think a door ding is imminent so they stay clear. My Tacoma on the other hand I always get assholes pulling out in front of me, cutting me off, or parking really close to me in parking lots, really gets irritating at times!

I learned very quickly not to wave to people riding scooters.

They're so surprised that someone actually waved that they freak out and crash!

Generally, I exchange waves with everyone... Harley or metric, or sportbike.
For some reason, I NEVER get a wave returned from those on "Adventure bikes"

Even the Goldwing and BMW riders can be bothered to remove their hand from the heated grip long enough to return my wave... but adventure bikes? Nope.

Don't knock apes until you ride with them.
