i dont drive my truck everyday...but when i do it is a marathoner.

i need to visit my parents, and they want to meet my new adopted dog, so flying is out. cal to tex and back.

then i need to drive to idaho for elk hunting, then to AZ for deer hunting. those three trips is probably 10k miles.

for the most part, i dont worry about it, but my wife is a tiny bit. she thinks i am driving my truck to an early grave. i bought the truck used with 37k miles and with my many outdoor excursions..i blew, well i am at the 60k warranty threshold.

the AZ hunt is in january, so mixing it with a meet with my parents will not work. that is to far away, and my dad is sick..i need to go.

Not at all. I don't drive my truck as much as I would like due to my 100mi round trip commute to work, that's what my 89 Camry is for. Either way these v6's have been around for 7+ years that I know of and they are well know for their reliability and amount of miles you can put on them without problems. BTW my 89 has 180k and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it cross country.

Keep up with the maintenance and you will see 200k+ no problem.

    Haha...not doing it...can't make me!
It's 06 with 60K, your right on par for how many miles it should have.

I have 124k on my 05 and i drive it at least once a month 340 mi round trip from nm to tx and back. i PREFER taking my truck because i know it's not going to give me trouble because i take care of it. i brought my sister in laws corolla today to visit my parents. it has 144k and hasn't had any issues yet (knock on wood) but i'm in the process of giving her a complete tune up, suspension work, o2 sen change next week. I usually take it upon myself to take care of the vehicles in my family. :D

Don't worry about the miles. I have an 06 with 98XXX miles on it. I have made 4 roundtrip drives between Dallas, TX and Palm Springs, CA. One trip down to South Padre Island...with countless hunting trips and offroad excursions. I have been pretty rough on it but as long as you keep it well maintained, it will last you forever.

I traded in a 2006 Dodge Ram SRT10 and I didn't care about mileage in it so I really don't care about mileage in my Tacoma.

I just traded in my Dakota that had 90k on it. It had started to nickel and dime me and seemed like it was falling apart. Looking forward to owning a Tacoma that won't die at 100k.

Don't worry about the mileage, take the road trip and enjoy the drive! I bought my 08 a year ago with 19k miles, and rarely drove it since I had a commuter car. Plus I didn't want to rank up the miles on what I cosidered to be my new truck. But something "hit me on the head" and I told myself why am I just letting my truck sit in the drive way for weeks at a time and why did I buy the Tacoma if I am not going to use it. I really do enjoy driving my truck!

So, the wife and I decided to take a road trip from Los Angeles to Houston, TX which we just did this past Memorial Day Weekend. It was an awesome road trip. We took interstate 40 through AZ, New Mexico, and into TX, and it was awesome! Although I could done without the speeding ticket driving through Memphis, TX (a small town off hwy 287), but it okay the trip was still fun! The Tacoma was flawless. I put 4000 miles on the Tacoma over a 9 day trip, and it did great. Comfortable ride. Prior to the trip I purchased the Extang Trifecta bed cover, purchased a OEM silver skid plate, and updated my tail lights with the OEM LED lights. I wanted my Tacoma to look good cruising down the interstate! So take the road trip and don't worry about the miles!
