    Everything TW members recommend
See post #900 of the Dual Battery Thread for a nice 2nd battery mount in the passenger side engine bay. It's by @Iggy. It looks promising and I'm very interested.

BTW, @docloco is featured on the same thread. Post #884 I like his setup, but his is a one-off.

    It doesn't have to be a one-off. ;)

Man that is one heck of a setup!! I have a couple questions though... Do you have any pics of how you mounted your dash cams? I have one that I took out of my last truck and have yet to find a good way to run the wires. Mine came with a suction cup mount which I don't like. I would like to have some sort of bracket that hooks to the sun visor or something.

Also how did you paint your dash? what type of paint did you use and what steps did you use to prep the pieces for paint?

I don't have dash cams yet, thats on the planned list. Painting the dash was just with flat black spray paint. I cleaned and dried the surfaces. Nothing really complicated. I just took my time. Light coats.

Not bad man. I would like to do the same thing to mine. I wished Toyota would have offered an all black interior instead of the gray.

What is the benefit of dual batteries? You going to have one run all of the accessories and one for the engine or is there another purpose?

To separate your accessories from your starter battery. This will depend on what accessories you're gonna add and how much electrical draw they'll have. Something small and it's not necessary, but when you want add lightbars, winch, compressor, etc. it's a good idea. You can also give yourself a jump if needed.

Well I got the last passenger door done today. I'm out driving around and I can tell it's a lot quieter even on a really windy day.

Deadening project looks like it came out really good, Doc.
I am assuming that you take out the plastic sheet that is in there before installing the deadener, correct?
If so, how did you clean off the black adhesive that attaches the plastic to the door?

Think I am going to be doing this soon. Should have done it when I had those darn door panels off last summer.

Thanks. Yes I did take off the plastic but I left the sealant. I figured it could actually help. I used a razor blade and cut it fairly close the the surface as I gently pulled on the plastic.

Did you put anything over the gold insulator? Is the gold going to show through the MOLLE panel when it's installed?

I did not put anything over the sound deadening material. As far as whether or not it'll show behind the MOLLE, it might, but it would be fairly dark behind there. I'll post pics when it's installed to see.
