Does anybody miss the manual clock in the center dash?

This write up ever happen? Probably just getting part numbers or source vehicle years/trim would be enough to figure it out. Does it use compass data from the mirror or have it's own flux sensor?

Got my clock installed yesterday thanks to a very nice member on TW who traded me for their clock!

 

Finally got around to doing this - frivolous, maybe, but I like it. Thanks to all the contributors to this thread, esp. @nazlax10, whose photos were a big help. If I were to do this again, I'd follow the advice of @airwhen to add some length to the factory terminal wires, which are pitifully short and just barely long enough
