So, is it durable to add the clock to the 2015 Tacoma?

So sounds like you do know how to wire it then? Any help is appreciated.

I agree, it's rather annoying the time is only visible on the main screen.

I could careless about the screen in the new models. I would take a regular stereo with the clock display and temp gauge in the rear view mirror. All I really appreciate about the screen is the back up camera but that use to be in the rear view mirrors as well.

Also, the weather for the screens in the new tacomas is only viewable when you have connection, when I would go to the mountains it would never update until I went back down.

Kinda irritating, when the temp in rear view never goes away no matter where you are...

So looking at the wiring diagram. Would it be ok to tap into wire #11 for wire #13 for illumination? As for wire #14 where can we tap into to power the clock?

I'm such an amateur on anything that's gets to do with wiring and sh** haha.

It does look like tapping into #11 would work for illumination.

Not yet but I might in a few years IF I buy another Tacoma. Toyota must think I am in the minority because I prefer stuff like outside temp, Homelink, & the clock over a dampened tailgate, and a GoPro mount.

    Not sure about that.

On my truck, the Hazard switch does not light up until the parking/headlights are on, whereas the clock is always on, and dims when the parking/headlights are on.

I would think you would want #13 to tie into something that dims with the headlights on, like the radio illumination circuit.

Yeah you might be right, that schematic did say clock on it though for #11.

Since I will be putting in a mirror with outside temperature and compass, I will ask if they have one that also includes a clock.

I hope I understand your schematics, I should tap the one you have marked #4 and run it to pin #14 at the clock and the one you marked #6 to pin #13 at the clock?

No, it appears #4 (dome) goes to #13 (clock), and #6 (tail) goes to #11 (clock) which may already exist because of the hazard switch illumination.

    @caribe makaira you're awesome man.

Would it be possible to find those wires in the surrounding area by the HU instead of running wires all the way to the fuse box?

Yes! The dealer installed it for $127. I dropped my truck off that morning. The service advisor could not explain how it was done.

Dang for 127$. Hmm I was thinking about just running those wires myself. So you think any dealer can pretty much do it, and you did have to order that separate clock/HAZARD switch part right?
