Does anyone know where I can find the truck's 3G/LTE module?

Remove the fuse, see if you get the effect you want without adding a CEL...

2020 models have a Toyota "Type" onstar or Safety Connect Response Center SOS button in the upper rear view mirror / traction control location. OP just wanted to disable it, I believe..

You don't want to pull that fuse, your hands free won't work without the DCM getting power. You'll be able to play music from your phone, and hear people while on a call, but the other person will not be able to hear you.

This is a 2020 thing only...not just Tacomas, but Tundras, 4Runners, Highlander's etc..

He can "re-wire" the mic if he wanted to...
And Bluetooth is not inside the DCM...it's in the Head Unit...

Lamens terms for everyone but @caribe makaira who can build a tacoma from scratch. He can connect the mic, but DCM needs power, so he has to disconnect the non-essential pins on the DCM.

That won't work either. Mic is gone. Your vehicle can't hear you with the fuse pulled.

The easy part is that MESO & DSIM already sell a T harness of IN1...

if he is using car play (or Android auto) they are both proving as much info to Apple and Google, and both actually sell more of your data than Toyota does. Apparently that’s been one of Toyota’s big reluctance’s to support Apple car play, they wanted / collect so much data.

Neither of us want to take this thread off tract. But if you go back to articles of when Toyota doubled down on their entune junk and that joint venture with Ford (smartlink or something like that), there is enough info if you dig. Also quarterly reports may not give full picture of what’s happening.

@BlessThisMess & @caribe makaira Thanks for digging into this and providing the information. I had hoped that removing my OEM HU would eliminate the "phone home" feature, but that is not the case. Since I already have swapped out my HU for an Android option with a self-contained mic, I don't think I will lose a thing as far as functionality when I yank that fuse. I'll be pulling it tomorrow as a test.

The antenna is like the kind in your cell phone...part of the DCM, not meant to be "removed"...and it's in the interior of the DCM...
Remove the ground terminal of the battery, remove the glove box, identify the DCM, remove all 3 connectors. Remove the hold down screws. Open it...and let us know.

Glad to see at least a few people are concerned about their privacy. The vast majority of sheeple are either too dumb to know what's going on or have been conditioned by their masters not to care. I hear it all the time - "I'm not doing anything illegal so why should I care?". People just don't get the point.
