I have searched and searched....for a Sway Bar Extended Link. After my lift installation the links fit but appear to be at an angle. I would like to find some about 2-3" longer. Has anyone else dealt with this issue and what options are available?

BTW....I have drop brackets already installed where the sway bar attaches to the frame.

    Thanks
    Garry

had to search my history but @mstudt makes custom, I've had the thread sub'd for awhile but haven't purchased for the '04 yet, I think he's got them hashed out now

Thanks guys...exactly what I was looking for. I just never thought about searching for a "non Tacoma" one. Those should work great.

Before you buy those, you might want to try disconnecting the sway bar and securing it out of the way and see how it drives. I tried it after I lifted mine a couple years ago and decided to completely remove the sway bar. You get a little body roll in turns but the truck rides so much better without the sway bar, the independent suspension actually gets to work independently without it and can absorb bumps a lot better.

your best bet is to pull those sway bar and throw it in the shed. it is not needed, with the lift the vehicle drives better also the sway bars are just going to cause more pull when hitting bumps

I decided to disconnect and secure the sway bar (as stated above) to see how it handles. If nothing scares me I will remove and hang on wall. Thanks guys.

If this is a daily driver, I wouldn't recommend removing it entirely. I removed and tossed mine a while ago, but it's also a dedicated trail/home depot truck.

This truck is not my main vehicle but it is used for road use to the local parking lot car hang out. I am only going to remove the links and secure the bar to see how it handles. Thanks

Meh, daily drove mine for a while before picking up my 4runner. Neither my Taco nor the 4runner have a front sway bar. Works just fine. Just need to be aware that you will have a little more pronounced body roll in corners.

do you have a measurement of stock versus these? did they give an extra 2-3" for the height of the bar? I'm thinking maybe my bar is causing some of my harshness

I did not do an accurate measurement but I believe it gave me 2-3"...basically doubled the length of the stock ones. I also set them at the shortest length they can go so you could definately get 4-5" over stock if you want. I am happy with them and you can see the angle of my sway bar....good angle.
