My 97 5 speed had those same cup holders. Don't think tranny played any part.

The 3rd gen TRD track attack model is rumored to come with more cupholders for weight savings.

Supposedly a really pissed off xrunner. Supercharged v8, factory roll cage, over 20 cupholders. Hood scoop, of course.

    Hey Cap'n....

I heard that along with the 48 new cup holders, they've totally revised the EnTune system....for those who are anal about their cup holders, the new option is the Enematic cup holder configurator, which allows you to automatically custom-tune your cup holders to open once the ignition key is turned to the ON position! :D

The Enematic option will be on a special long-haul version, so you can drive the entire fuel range without having to stop for bathroom breaks. The limited edition will even store such emissions for you, and fling them at passing Chevys and Fords.

Are you talking about that square pocket in front of the circular cupholder? The circular cupholder that is only big enough for a can? That is larger than the square pocket?

That's a change holder. If you drink from a juicebox, it's a cupholder.

I have a 9 month old and let me tell you, 13 cup holders are 13 too little. I have one cup holder with a baby wipe dispenser in it, one stuffed full of dirty baby wipes and another with a bottle of formula, and another with some juice, and 3 more with baby bottles of just plain water in case I need to make a fresh bottle on the fly, one for binky's and one for slinky's, hell I even have one for the skittlemarinkidoos that you have to have when you have a little one. Plus, the Starbucks and the wife's cola and our cell phones and such...
