Does my Tacoma Have Tow Package

I have a 2023 SR SX 4wd V6 Auto tacoma. It's my understanding that all of these configurations would have the tow package as standard. I do have all of the electrical plug ins on the rear bumper. I'm Mostly asking because I want to install a brake controller and need to know if my truck will have the plug for the controller already installed.

My SR5 did. Plugged into the 7-pin on the tear-drop, my controller is 12V so once plugged into the 12V it worked like a champ.
The controller works in conjunction with the electric brake system on my teardrop - I assume your setup will be the same.

 

I understand the plug in point is on the left of the steering wheel under the dash and that it can be hard to find. There are threads here on the install of brake controllers.

 

My 2013 SR5 did, I would believe that your 2023 does. I am certain my 2021 does but havent bothered to look yet tbh

 

Same with mine. I would think as long as the truck came with a tow hitch, its got everything else, you'd need.

 

There was some discussion a few year back about Toyota eliminating the external transmission cooler.

Yes 'tow package' from 21/22 and on no longer have the aux ATF cooler, I wonder if they even have a bigger alternator anymore???

 

The trans cooler is now built inside the radiator itself as one whole unit. It does roughly the same thing.
