A quick look on advance auto website shows different part numbers for replacement alternators for the different engines.

    Here's the 4 cyl

    And the 6 cyl

Mounting tabs seem to be different.

Got a lot of stuff lol
This is why I suggested checking out the es300/Camry alternator there on the same sides of the engine and both are from Toyota.

The plugs looked the same and I'd be surprised if Toyota would make different ones. I think going from the 4cyl to the V6 130amp you might get away with keeping the wires you got.

I saw the pics you posted. Thank you. I could well have looked at sth that was mislabeled online. Fukking Google

Let's stay on topic here bud.
Just don't have the spare cash to buy a donor truck to take that on and if I did I would certainly opt for a V8.
    And now... Back to alternators

What's up with the pulley . On the 4 cyl. One . Is that just a cover that pops off. So you can get to the bolt. And the bottom fork bracket looks thinner on the v6 one. The plugs can be bought and changed. I put a tundra alt. On my lc80 .

Confirmed that V6 alternator does NOT fit at all on the 2trfe because it's reverse mounted....
@weldo I got an amp/rpm chart from the BNR eBay alternator you linked, claims to put out 82amps at idle which is pretty good if true and one year exchange warranty...

I dunno, man. After your comment I did a bit or looking around and it's like you said, there's lot of bad experiences with that company. A high quality high output 250A alternator can put out around 150A at idle. I've been looking at other options now. Much more expensive but much higher quality and better reputation. Companies like Mechman, Singer, US Alternators, and SBC. All these have a great reputation in the high end audio segment.

In my case I'd love to have an alternator that puts out about 170A at idle. I know that's an extreme load but the inverter I got says it can put out 17.1A AC if supplied with 171A of DC. I'd like to be able to get full power at idle, without having to figure out how to add an idle up function. Actually that may be impossible as I forgot the amp draw of the truck while it's running. I'm sure the coils, ECU and all that takes a bit of the amperage even at idle. I'd like to get as close to full power of my inverter as possible at engine idle.

Just remember that the power for your inverter will come from your battery so unless you want to run it at peak draw for a really long time you will be fine with a good deep cycle dual purpose battery.

I talked to mechman today, they don't make one for the 2TRFE and they don't rebuild sent in units so they're out. Singer I have yet to call.
BNR actually does rebuild mine if I send it in so no core charge. I have to read thru their warranty to make sure there aren't any stupid abuse clauses.
If that checks out and since they are close to me I might go that route. Getting a new one every year under warranty doesn't hurt haha

I have a stinger . It's made in Tampa. Had it in my Toyota van 4y engine. It's was good. It was 100 at idle. Still have it it just sits on the shelf now . Got rid of the van . When I bought the taco. It was a 1 wire hookup . (Just ignition wire, then a ground from alt to frame).had to use 1/0ga. Wire though.

I thought the power would come from the alternator if the alt was capable of supplying the called for amount of power. I'm not gonna need that much AC current frequently but I like the capability to run power tools and such should the need arise.

Sorry, I don't mean to thread jack!

No, the power will come from the battery, the alternator is just keeping it charged and if it doesn't put out enough current you will run your battery empty.
Most power tools like a decent drill or circular saw etc will require such a high surge wattage that your inverter is probably not gonna cut it. If you are thinking all this just to be able to run power tools without a concrete need you're not doing yourself any favors. Get lithium battery packs, eliminates pesky cords and those you CAN charge witchy out inverter

Getting your current alternator beefed up is also an option if no one has mentioned It. I had this done on my old s10 4cyl and had far more draw than what your pulling. I had 4 kicker comp VR 10", and about 1200 watts pushing those as well as my infinity kappa components, a double din touchscreen head unit, viair air compressor, 4 electric air valves, and an inverter to run my ps2 (like I said. It was a while back). I did have dual batteries but it was the stock GM alternator I took to a shop and got recoiled for more amps. If you can't find an alternative keep this "mod" in mind.
