I didn't get anything noticeable. I did drop the carrier bearing but I'm not sure it was absolutely necessary.

I have a shudder when taking off from a stop. I've dropped my CB and just installed 3.5 degree shims last weekend. Seemed to help some but hasn't completely eliminated the issue. I have some 2.5 degree shims on the way to try next. I was too lazy to measure my angles so now that I have the new pins in the packs I'm just going to swap shims a few times to see what works best.

I would consider adding the pins before you install, just in case you have to add shims. Basically just like the normal pins but with a washer that extends the head to clear the shims after installation.

Thanks! Best of luck solving your vibration issue. If the 2.5 shims don't do it for you I would get unlazy and measure.

If you are referring to the wavey appearance, mine look like that too....or if you think the bottom 2 springs look upside down, those are the overload springs.
I have been happy with the Dakars (2nd truck with them), they turn the Tacoma into an actual truck.

Very bad take off vibes. Did 3 deg shim in the back and an OME CB drop. Needed another .045 at the CB to get it smooth.

Youre running the light dakar EL095 packs? If so how much weight do you have in the back in addition to your cap? Not trying to thread jack, but around 23.5-24 is where i want to end up and i have about 500lbs constant load in the back of mine..
Ive been trying to get feedback from others on what pack theyre running, the lift they have and the amount of constant lod they carry..
