Go to autozone and get no drill clamps and camper shell tape. Far less and you can do it your self.

How much did you pay for the cap?

It's been stupid so far. I'm deployed, so my wife is trying to pick it up. I've emailed him asking for the serial #, (leer shell). No response from him. Wife called, he said $700, non negotiable. There truck is 2010. He doesn't know how old the shell.

$700 is good. Edit: 5 or 6 foot box?

$75 sounds about right, especially if that includes hooking up the brake light. As someone else mentioned, you MIGHT be able to do it yourself, but you'll need some friends; Fiberglass tops ain't light.

I'd pass without a serial number.

The manufacture date can be deciphered with a quick phone call to the manufacturer with that number. $700 isn't bad, neither is $75 to install it if it includes wiring. That aside, if he's not interested in any communication about it except how to pay him for it then think about that for a few before going further.

$75 for install isn't bad depending on what is included in the install. If it includes brake/interior light wiring, removal of the bed rail caps and putting caulk under them then I would be ok with it. If its just putting on and tightening 4 bolts, then no....

$700 for the cap isn't bad either. I paid $900 for mine used on craigslist. Again its dependent on what Leer it is and condition.
