The first time I saw a 3" lift (Toytec + AAL) with 32.5"x11.75" tires I thought it was a 6" lift with 35" tires at first glance. It looks freaking huge in person. Its easy to tell in photos on the net when you know what to look for but in person its a whole different impression.

Yea, my 3" lift definitely looks noticeable compared to a stock Tacoma..but still looks small next to a 6" lift.

its noticeable for sure. Personally I think 6" is overkill on these trucks.

Well my tires are 265/65/17 and its not likely I will be getting new ones since these only have about 15,000 miles on them. So I'm thinking if I got the bilstien shocks and set them to 1.75", it might look ok with stock size tires. Is the 1.75" of lift from the bilsteins pretty noticiable as well? And btw, since this thread was started I've seen a few 3" lifts in person and you can deff tell the difference. They look huge!

before and after...and let me tell you, the difference in looks is TINY compared to the difference in offroad ability.

Here's a pic I took the other day next to a stock Taco. I think I may be just a bit over 3" though.

As for the antenna, I also got a stubbie a long time ago but if I were to do it again, I would just cut the stock antenna to make it the same height as my roof. That way you know if your truck would clear anything above but with only a 3" lift it's not likely you would hit anything.

i would put some consideration into some maxtrac 4" spindles... picking mine up tommorrow... i was in the same position as you not thinking the 3 was high enough, check out some picks of tacos with 4" spindles and some beffy tires.. im planning to run maxtrac spindles with a rear AAL everything else stock, oh and brand new bridgestone all terrains 285/70... im stoked:D oh and the maxtrac are fairly inexpensive, i got mine for 490
