Dome and map lights not turning ON in DOOR position

2019 Access Cab, 4200 miles...no modifications. I know it's under warranty, but I thought I ask here before taking to the dealer.

Dome light and both map lights work fine in the "ON" positions. When in the "Door" positions, and either or both doors open...none of them work. I do get a "door ajar" message when a door is open, so the door switch seems to be ok...I also actuated both door switches many times, so don't think that is the issue. Any ideas?

Do you lights turn on when you get close to the truck? Not sure if yours has the feature, but mine has a proximity lights that turn on when the key is near the truck. Could be a malfunction in that module thats blocking the lights from turning on.

they do not. I do have keyless entry, but lights never come on when switches in DOOR position.

 

Dealership date for probable warranty item...

 

I am not sure I understand, but want to rule out the obvious and easy fix.

The Interior light setting on the radio menu is not set to off?

Problem solved. The "2019 Tacoma Owners Manual" does not contain info on how to set the entry lights ON/OFF times for trucks with the "EnTune Premium Audio" option...which I have. That info is only in "2019 Tacoma Multimedia & Navigation Manual". With EnTune, under Setup, there is a 2nd page of options. The one needed is "Vehicle". If you have Entune...configure the entry light times here:

Apps/Setup/Vehicle/Vehicle Customization/Lights Settings/Interior Lights Off Timer/7.5 sec, 15 sec, 30 sec, Off

Mine was set to "Off".

 

This second page is in the Head Unit, correct?
