    Nope.
The door(s) open signal to the Main Body ECU is the trigger to have the interior illumination activate. Without it, no "door" feature for the cab lamps. Also, the door(s) unlock is required as an input signal.

    Update:
I was driving around last night, and while at a stop light, I checked the Apps menu and I was able to view the "vehicle" settings:

I toggled around the Interior lights OFF timer from 7.5 seconds through 30 seconds, it made no difference, when the car is parked, or turned off when I open the car doors the interior lights don't turn on.

Does your Taco have the Cargo Bed lamp switch?

Do you know how to remove the overhead console?

I haven't, but I'm not afraid of trying, however, my truck doesn't have a console really, just 2 "map" lights upfront where the light switch and traction control button is, and the dome light chingas in the middle, but no console in between those 2 lights just headliner.

It just pulls down. Easier with a panel removal tool. (plastic)

Not enough bandwidth on the internet to list.
    It pulls out quite easily.

Disregard the S50, your Taco doesn't have it.
Removed a Map Light bulb, tape some stripped wires to each contact of the bulb. On connector R44 of the vehicle, place the other ends of the wires (stripped) to 15 (+) & 22 (-). Place wires on the back where you see the wires NOT where they connect to the console.
Test the function by closing the door.
