I have a base model 2004 with the small dome light right up near the windshield / rear view mirror.

It does call for a 3175 bulb which seems like it would work but it seems like a 3175 is a bit too long to fit into the bulb terminals. It's just a tiny bit too big and I tried smashing the terminals to be a bit more open to accommodate the bulb, but it just does not fit.

I tried both a LED and conventional bulb and its the same for both.

Is this a common issue? Am I missing something?

the bulb should fit into grooves that are on each side of the contacts. unless yours does not fit inside the housing at all?

You are correct, that worked. It was really tight but it fit. Thanks!

I ended up getting mine from @csjumper2003 due to his including the resistors on them. otherwise there is not enough draw in the 01-04 to keep a single one on.
