So I tried to install some led dome lights in my 2006 TRD off road Tacoma. The lights went out and I saw the fuse was blown. I replaced the fuse and the dome lights came back on. I put the first led bulb in no problem. The blue led light came on. I tried putting the second one in and the fuse blew again. Is there some underlying problem I am missing or am I just installing the lights wrong?

Maybe one of the led bulbs is shorted somewhere internally?

I had trouble with my fuse blowing if any part of the LED bulb would touch anything but the contacts it would short and blow the fuse. Only would happen on rough dirt roads and took me awhile to figure out what was wrong.

One works OK? does it matter which one?
from your info-looks appears to be overloading the circuit.
what are the LED's rated? what fuse?

Well, I don't seem to be having a fuse problem. However, I can't get to the dome light if there is one on my 06 TRD - Off Road DBL CAB. The thing I'm calling a light is between 2 other white colored lights that you "push" to turn on and off in the roof of the truck toward the windshield. It has a dark brownish colored face on it and the shape of it is a dished out oval shape with a rectangular push button. I'm believing it's a light or some form of instrumentation for information of some sorts, eg; temp, compass, mpg's or what have you. Do any of you know what I'm referring too and can you shed some light on the subject for me please ? My books show me nothing. I don't have an owners manual yet, but it's already on order. I just bought the truck 5 days ago. Thanks any and all who can help me out.
