@DSIM is it possible to use one module and have it handle both rock/courtesy lights as well as another set of lights such as bed lights, but still have them independently controlled?

@DSIM I would too like to know the answer to this question. Also is it possible to run 6 KC rock lights on this module or this that too much draw?

FWIW, I run 8 KC Cyclones without any problems at all.

you should really be powering the lights from a relay, the module should only act as a trigger to the relay

My question is more along the lines of having my key fob and the locking/unlocking trigger the courtesy/rock lights along with the bed lights and allowing me to independently turn on each from their own switch in the cab? I’m down to figure it out if it’s possible.

You can run the signal (yellow) wire to any number of relays you wish.
    yes you can do this.
You can split the DSIM trigger (yellow) to any number of coil+ relay connections.

Then you "independently" control this. you'll also run your switch trigger wire to the same coil+ connection. essentially running 1 relay with 2 switches...

So I’m a little confused on how to wire it to 1 relay with 2 switchs(2nd gen here). How do you split the yellow wire?

    Post your question here:

I'm sure Ken can better explain it than i could

    Edit:
here's how i control my aux back-up lights using a relay and 2 signals

    relay 2 signals.jpg

And here is how i control my underbody lights with the DSIM and a 3-way switch circuit. Please note that this image represents a negative switched circuit, not contemporary switched or positive side.

This is something similar to what I wanted to do for a setup, where I had roof mounted lights (your courtesy/rock lights) hooked up to the DSIM module, but also tied into the MESO puddles. See my post from before:
What might be happening is that there are switches before and after the DSIM Module. Let me sketch something really quick to see if that is what you are looking for.

Not sure if this is the style you mean, or what @XJfella95 is doing. Either way you do it, it's still advice from Brandon, lol.

Wiring the switches in series like this will defeat the relays unless the switches are in the ON position or have ON-OFF-ON or ON-ON to allow for pass through.

if you're using a SPST switch like most dash switches, you'll need to wire these in parallel with the relay.

Yup, that is exactly why I am confused as to what he's looking for. Maybe I'm not reading it correctly, but that's what I read.

he wants a single light circuit to be switch controlled as well as DSIM controlled.

I'll have to draw something up.

Oh, so that means exactly what you showed before, in the "behind D/S taillight" photo. Where one lead to the relay signal will be a switch and the other would be the DSIM. Of course with diodes.

yes, exactly. I diode a wire tap to my rev light bulbs so that the stock ones don't come on when i hit the switch. But when the truck is in reverse, the little indicator light in the switch turns on....you could diode both ways.

This is a similar circuit to what I want to do, so I have a question about your connections.

Based on the assumption that your relay is in the engine compartment:
Did you run your diode tapped wire all the way back up to the engine compartment to plug into the relay, or, did you find the "hot wire" to the tail lights in the Engine compartment fuse box?

I ask, because the second option is the one I would like to pursue. But, but I don't currently have access to the vehicle schematics and am not sure which wire I would be looking for.
