Depends on how many amp is your load. If 2A the wire 2 in parallel.

It's going to be two strip of LEDs, so I think it will suffice.

I finally got around to installing the dimmer module.
I can confirm that it does fade in the puddle lights but does not fade them out. Also, no change to the overhead dome light. It it still instant on or off, no fade. Note, I wired the fader + parallel with + trigger. I did not try separating the trigger to a switch.

Sorry if I'm not fully up to speed here, but putting the diode inline on the DSIM ground did not resolve the interior domelight issue?

It seems like it did when @DSIM did it. I have yet to try it out, so I can't verify that as of right now.

You are correct. It did not make my dome light circuit fade in and out like before adding the DSIM diode.
My only other thought would be to use the DSIM on the trigger only and connect the diode directly to the + and - in the fuse panel.

Ahh, I think I understand what you did now. You wired the yellow wire from the DSIM to the trigger and + wire on your dimmer?

Yes. According to the manufacturer it is suppose to fade in and out by wiring it this way but it does not.

I would hook the dimmer to straight to a 12v+ constant source, and ground it separately if you haven't already done so. I think the point of the dimmer is to carry the load separate of the trigger circuit. By wiring the dimmer+ to the DSIM output, you are still putting that load on the domelight circuit. If you are going to do that, just eliminate the DSIM and wire your load straight to the dome lights. It won't make a difference load-wise on the dome circuit to how you have it wired now. Does that make sense? I suck at explaining stuff.... I'm not sure this will eliminate the other issues, but it will take the load off of the dome circuit.

Yes, that was my thought as well. I have made the wire harnesses quick connects so I can experiment. That will be my next test.

Hey so I’ve finally gotten around to installing my dsim v4 module and I’ve ran the yellow through the firewall to my 86 pin of the relay that’s connected to my rock and under hood lights. I also have the blue sea systems 12 circuit split fuse block running my accessories. Currently i have it on the constant side and I’m not getting anything from the lights unless i push the switch. Do i need to use the switched side of my fuse block for it to work when approaching the vehicle and when locking unlocking the vehicle? Ive read through several pages of the thread but I haven’t seen a situation talking about what i have going on. Thanks

How about drawing up a rudimentary schematic so we can see what you have done?

I honestly don’t know where to start on drawing one of those up. Is there an app you use to do so?

So I have decided to add illumination in the access cab area with LED lights in the back side of the door panels like I did in my front doors. Therefore I will have to provide a separate + power source since having more than 4x LEDs being powered from the DSIM module may run it too hot or burn it out. This should also resolve the instant power off issue I'm currently experiencing with the puddle light/ footwell lights as well as the overhead dome light. This is what I have so far in the front.

Start with a piece of paper, pencil and a ruler. Does not have to be pretty. Just label the parts and keep straight lines as much as possible. You may discover once you have drawn it up you end up answering your own question. Post it here and we can take a look.
I usually do this on my work bench to help with figuring out the complexity of what I want to wire up and it is easier to correct mistakes on a piece of paper than it is to re-wire what you have done in the truck.
