    This could be the work of gangs who are knowledgeable with certain high end vehicles and when they steal the parts these are more than they're worth. there should be another route on how we can protect are 2nd valued investment that the consumer will not get shafted when things like this happen

    I remember reading that sometime last year. It is quite scary thet insurance companies don't realize that any vehicle can be stolen.

    Bottom line if a thief wants your car/truck their going to get it. As always they are one step ahead of the technology.

    i am a locksmith in sc and all of this is true you should hear some of the stories i have been told the intrnet has alot to do with this also you can find any thing you want and how to do everything you just read about and more, all you can do is hope you are not next

    That is the very reason that I seriously considered buying an older Tacoma or an even older Hilux pickup. Unfortunately they get stolen just as much as brand new ones. Probably because it is well known how to steal them.

    It will probably happen to me sometime. I will just have to deal with it when it happens. :(

    Install an inconspicuous fuel pump disconnect switch. It will foil a pinch-and-drive theft.

    That looks simple enough! I will have to take a look at doing this on my truck.

    On the VWVortex forums, I also saw one guy attach it to his glove box light switch. You had to open the glovebox to start the car... :crazy:
