Could someone point out the location of the two screws on the door panel that'll allow me to remove it?
I'm trying to install some dynamat on all the doors and could use some pictures or advise on the removal of the panels.

Its been a long time since I took one off of the older trucks, but it seems to me inside the door handle there were two pop tabs with screws angled in, but 3rd gen? Not 100% on that take a look.

On the fronts there is a screw under the felt thing in the door handle. Pop the cover off behind the release handle and there is another screw. Pop the window switch up and unplug it. Pull the bottom of the door panel and should release all the clips.

When you're talking about the cover on the handle do you mean the large piece of plastic inside. image.jpg

Does the plastic around the window controls pop off too?
Sorry for the questions, I just don't want to snap any plastic pieces while I try to pry this stuff off. image.jpg

Never mind, I figured it out. For those of you who are doing this for the first time, here's a picture of the two screws you need to remove. And the bottoms of the door where I started to pull on the clips with a clip removal tool.

Thought about doing this to mount a courtesy led or a drivers handle on the right had door so you can open and close both doors the same way. WTF was toyota thinking?

Most of the road noise in my limited comes from the back doors and (I think) from behind the rear seats. I'd be interested in your comments about how big a difference the dynamat does once you have the back done.

    Thx

Will do. I plan on creating a thread as I go through the whole process. Dynamat the doors this week and then eventuall dynamat the floor, back and roof.

Nutflush has already done the whole truck and claims to have seen a huge difference. The only noise he notices now is from the vents in the rear which he may cover in the future.

I didn't take a lot. Still have to do rear doors. Speaker mounts aren't done yet. Did the rear behind the seat tho...

With a calibrated sound meter , I tested my 2nd gen before I sound deadened the doors and rear panel .
Before sound deadening at 60 mph the meter read 70 decibels
After sound deadening at 60 mph the meter read 65 decibels
I have heard that the 16 is a much quieter ride from factory .
From the deadening I performed even if only a 5 decibel difference , it truly made a significant improvement to the interior
In case you guys are not aware , the audio section is filled with pictures of doors and interior components coming apart , There isnt much difference between the 2nd gen and 3rd gen
