I definitely want to add a sub and I wouldn’t mind adding an amp to the speakers just for a little more range and quality but I am happy currently, well I’ll be happy as soon as I find this freaking rattle. I think I found it now, I believe it is coming from one of the tweeters I half assed put in. Or at least I hope it is.

That’s the truth! And I want a house in Colorado which are at least 2.5x the price of houses here in Oklahoma. So that will be a ways away.

I got kicker 6x9’s up front and 6.5’s in the rear. They both required an adapter to fit in the absolutely massive factory holes. I also got adaptors to make them plug and play with the factory speaker connections. Very simple install all in all. My kicker tweeters are on the way and should be in tomorrow which are a 100% plug and play install.

I love it, I was fourtinate enough to live there for a few years before oil crashed in 14, and it will always be home for me, I just have to figure out a way back that pays well enough for me to live and enjoy it instead of working all the time

I ordered the tweeters on Amazon which are on the way. It just amazes me to need adaptors and the such. Last speakers I put in my Dodge were complete plug and play. I guess I will need to do some reviewing before I replace my door speakers in my 17' OR.

That’s what you need if you go with the sizes I did. Regardless you will need 4 if the wire adapters.

for what it's worth, our stock speakers were made from neodymium, which are the strongest rare earth magnets available right now. they're mostly used in pro-audio, the amount of power you can get out of a magnet the fraction the size of a ceramic/ AlNiCo magnet almost pays for itself in weight reduction. especially when you've got cabinets with 8 10" speakers in them.

Did you have to do anything with the Head unit when installing these? You just took the door panel off and plugged and played? Was wondering if there was any thing you had to do to the head unit I have these in my cart with crutch.

I just upgraded my door speakers too. Also, added an 8 inch subwoofer too. It sounds amazing compared to stock speakers.

Did you run the tweeter from the components to the dash? I’ve never been impressed with non-amplified components, but I don’t have a bunch of experience either, just a couple of swap outs.
Edit: I just saw the amps, thought they were crossovers

It's got crossovers too and yes you have to wire from deck to crossover, then from crossover to mid in door and crossover to tweeter in dash. It's pretty straightforward.

Yeah, I'm running two amps. They are really small but are 400 watt amps, and that was part of the reason I got them. The crossovers are mounted in the kicker panels. It looks all stock because every speaker was mounted in stock location.
