Looks really nice and I'll bet it sounds great. Out of curiosity, why didn't you use the high level inputs on the amps instead of using those LOCs?

Interior LEDs, all weather mats, TRD performance CAI, trifold hard tonneau cover, predator pro step, accessory interior/exterior illumination package. Kicker tweeters, Kicker speakers.
I had to take the drivers door panel off one time due to a rattle, it was a stripped screw, got larger screw and rattle is fixed!

I don’t doubt they are neodymium magnets, but having used some of them before and always been amazed at their sticking power, I couldn’t even get these things to stuck to my tool box. I thought it was weird.

What did you use to get the signal from your stock head unit to an aftermarket amp? Link to everything you used if all possible! I really want this to be my next upgrade.

Mine was the tweeter I didn’t do a good job installing in the driver dash and also the connected I used on the passenger side was touching the adapter and vibrating. I am now 100% rattle free for the time being.

I used the link4 module. It’s all in the picture. I’ll take some pics of finished install later.

Just ordered all my parts. For $250 that’s a no brainer. I came from a 2005 with JBL to a 2017 with premium (non JBL). I don’t think it’s terrable but it’s not the JBL my 05 had.

where did you catch the signal for the link4 at? Do you have any sort of instructions or writeup on the install? It looks simple enough but I don't really trust myself with wires unless I have some clear instructions!

and with the link4 is it dedicated to only your sub amp or can you use ch 1/2 for sub and 3/4 for door speaker amp? Sorry if its a lot of questions but I am very curious.

For anyone who is interested…I just upgraded my door speakers and didn’t go with the subaru tweeters. I went with the Fosgate tweeters instead and I still used the factory mounting bracket. The Fosgates are cheaper in price, but sound excellent. I’ve got Fosgate 6x9’s in the fronts and kicker 6.75’s in the back. Installed a Rockville 10” slim line 800w powered sub on the driver side behind the back seat that fits perfectly without any major mods. Amazing system with the factory head unit. The tweeter brackets are easy to modify to fit other brands of speakers. All I did was cut the cone of the factory tweeter out all the way around the tweeter and left the foam on the outer part of the cone. Then just take a hacksaw and cut the front part of the speaker off about a half inch down from the front of the tweeter. This will remove the magnet and coils and leave you with 4 1/2 long metal prongs attached to the face of the factory tweeter. Takes about 5 minutes and your done. I will post pics if anyone is interested.

Did the speaker upgrade in my 2018 SR today and it sounds amazing! Guy at the store said I wouldn’t be disappointed and I’m not at all. Sounds like there is a small sub in the truck and very clear!

I'm sure I'll get push back, but if you want it to sound better, add an amp.

If you make one upgrade, I'd recommend adding some power.

Do these subaru tweeters work for a second gen(2013 Tacoma) or just for 3rd gen?

Where did you get your sub box? And do they have them available for two 8" subs?

I’m trying to find the cheapest way possible to put nice speakers in this truck so far I have some pioneer 6.5” coaxial behind. Just put the DS18 tweeters in today! Thanks for the input on the plug and play options. It was a pain removing the old tweeters. The panel removal was easy, but removing the actually harnesses was annoying.
I ammmm going to install these Bose speakers in the front next week when they come innn. I don’t care if I have to drill holes to have them fit. They are throwaway speakers anyways. Hoping they add some middle pitch to the lower feet area. The tweeters are definitely loud, I had to turn down the treble just a tad. Amazing but overall, and I don’t have to turn the volume up as much. I had to add some more gain on my bass amp to compensate for the lower volume.
with these Bose speakers all I need is a harness adapter and some solder. Not too hard of a job once the panels are off and install these bad boys.
    Keep y’all updated!
