hey guys, I'm looking at getting a tool box for my '04 double cab. Does anyone have any recommendations, specifically for the 01-04 double cab? I looked on Amazon but I don't trust their fitment guide. thanks!

How much did that set you back? Been looking for one as well. Getting tired of having to move my tools and stuff off the back seat if I carry passengers

The local Walmart has a black low profile truck box for $199, can't recall the brand. I can swing by there tomorrow and get a sku on it.

Darryle thanks for your help! That's exactly what I'm looking for. I really want the black one for 200 bucks, but I too see it online for way more, what gives!

Buy the regular one, spend an hour scuffing it up and cleaning it off, throw some black bed liner on it and viola done. Mines been like that for over 5 months now and no issues.

Like many others, I have the Kobalt toolbox. The box and mounts were less then $180 brand new. Three cans of Rustoleum bed liner and it's now black. I've also added some extra turn signals and a red LED light bar across the back. Pretty decent toolbox for the money, the aluminum is flimsy and the locks are garbage, but what can you expect from the low price tag.
