    Guess so, as you did.

So if anyone can post their opinion, why you giving me shit because I made a response to someone comparing the mid sized Tacoma to FULL SIZE?

While I wouldn't use the term spacious, 2-3 car seats work fine in the back for long driving trips. All of my family members are tall for their age (kids 7,3,0.45). When I only had 2 car seats in the back, I used the right and middle positions to allow the occasional narrow adult to use the left seat, with 3, I keep the youngest in the middle.

My wife has a 2010 forester. That required mad Tetris skills to fit three in the back, but even there it's doable with narrow car seats. The 13 DCSB has at 4-5 inches more internal width in the back vs the forester. Any vehicle is a compromise, DCSB is comfortable but not a full size pickup. That's why I bought it, I could never fit a full size truck in my garage.

I strapped lights to the ceiling handles in the back (power switch facing forward) which the kids loved for reading.

My sons almost 5 and all 3 of us are very comfortable. The pet peeve I have is my sons shoes touches the back of the seat sometimes and we know how boys are with their shoes lol!

I'd say the biggest bitch is the seat belts. They lock and make it hard for my 6 yr old to reach over and buckle herself in. My wife's Acura RDX doesn't have this issue. Her RAV 4 she used to have did. Toyota seat belts obviously suck.

Ha, this isn't limited to boys... my 5yr old daughter is the same way - I tuck a towel into the back seat pocket and let it hang down. It helps with the mess, but not the kicking.

Mite would agree 100%, she hated the ones in the 09, first thing she checked on the 17. She is still not impressed.

    Scratches, dents, lots of squeaks.

^This, we have 2 still in car seats, 3 and 5. It is very tight. Both seats have to moved pretty far up for it to work. Once they are out of car seats there will be a lot more room. Day to day its very doable, just tight. I'm a bigger guy and if I have to fish out something that's dropped down between the two car seats its a bit tough, for me. That is honestly my only complaint about the taco, and the only reason why I wonder if I should have bought a full size. But I am happy and don't regret it.

I'm in the same boat. Can't wait till my older one is 60 lbs so I can put her in a booster. I'm giving her cookies, candy, sticks of butter...

the bed extender is a must have in my opinion. great for camping trips or long road trips. Extremely hand to have when at the grocery store as it holds all the bags of food in place. On my trucks I always put on the bed extender and a bed tool box for lockable storage. It also double as a bench seat or table when you take it off. The extenders are expensive. I bought mine for 35 bucks on offerup and its a genuine toyota extender!

Words of wisdom: Kids are in car seats for a LONG time.

The storage behind the rear seats is not so great with 2 car seats in the back. Booster seats are much less of a hassle, but they have to be much older to use those.

    Just something to think about.

Two car seats in a Tacoma is no fun. Not sure what the guys are smoking when they say its comfortable with two kids, cause it isnt. The front passenger seat has to be almost all the way forward so that my kids legs aren't squished. I knew what I was getting into when I bought the Taco, but next truck will be a full sized.

This. The dudes that are saying its comfortable and that there is plenty of room are living in la la land.

like everyone says, two car seats is too cramped. I have one rear facing and one booster and its perfectly fine. Im taller than most and i have plenty of room with the booster behind me. With the car seat behind the driver seat, im not very comfortable

    Access cab here.
Two boys -- 1 and 3. Up until last week, one facing front and one facing back. Now both are facing front. The 1yo is in a front facing babby seat behind the driver (5'10) and the 3yo is on a booster behind the passenger (5'3). Fit is decent, I've occasionally had fully grown adults in the back seat without any discomfort to either me or my wife ;)

From what I understand, the double cab is a bit more comfortable due to reclined seat back, but doesn't have any extra leg room. You do, however, have a center position seat belt, which the newer access cabs lack. The older ones were seat all the way across, the newer ones have a little storage bin between the back seats and only two belts.

Point is, its doable with anything besides a REGULAR cab (which doesn't have ANY back seat at all).
They're also BOTH a heck of a lot more comfortable than any of the pickups that my parents had when I was a kid. The Nissan HB pickup was a real tight fit for two kids and a bull terrier in the back seat.
