Double Trouble: The Fenwick's T4R Build & B.S.

Stonewall hasn't had a bath since I painted him last September.

 

So here's the latest on the ever-so-slow T4R project. Both engines are fully disassembled. 91's block is in worse shape. So 91 is now a paperweight. It resides in my bedroom now, awaiting being made into a cool ass table.

The 94's shell is now sitting at my house to make room over at Robert's for all of the cars rolling in to be worked on. Good rotating assembly is still over there so I can work on it, but everything else is in back of 94, and will be brought back as needed. Truck will return to Robert's when engine is ready.

By the way, gas works great for removing massive amounts of shittily applied plastidip. As long as you don't care if you fuck up underlying clear coat, which I don't in this case. Decided to test it on the 94 T4R since it's a massive peeling plastidip shitheap. I'm going to strip it down and paint it rhinolined desert tan eventually because the truck is at least three different colors underneath. Applied gas with rag, scrubbed with giant rough-bristled scrub brush, and wiped off remnants with water. Works great.

Silver quarter panel. Or might be gold. Not sure.
You can see where the plastidip is peeling here that the tailgate is white.

There were a bunch of Stickers that I didn't care for on the rear driver side window. Used my famous gas and razor blades to remove the ones I didn't like/were jacked up.

 

Tell me again why you kept those stickers?

... Nevermind, I probably won't understand.

 

I don't mind those two, Fox Racing and SaltLife. Gonna end up stickering that window to hell anyways.

I was trying to make that one out ... thought it said "slut" for a moment.

 

If it said that and it was on the other truck I might leave it because the other truck is nicknamed "Gutter Slut" because it's the rebirth of the 83 Yota pickup with the broken frame that's named Rut Slut. Since it is getting the axles and 350 small block from it.

Yup, original plans to gut the 91 for parts have been changed. Rut Slut has a bad frame broken in several spots, and the truck is all ate up. So it's being rebirthed into the 91. Was a beast mud truck in its time.

Now it sits with the 91 T4R behind the garage, imparting its wisdom upon the younger truck.
Stonewall kept him company in the beginning as well.

 

Good day to give the HoRunna JEB a gas bath to strip off the shitty plastiderp. 77 degrees. A far cry from Friday's 17 degrees.

 

I just saw a good looking 2nd gen really clean on my drive to work w/ arb bumpers. Doesn't seem to have moved much but Damn it looks good.
