So we finally brought ONE of the runners home today, the 91 stick. Rope-towed it with my buddy's 87 T4R to his house. It is currently sitting outside one of the garage doors, the one that leads into the smaller bay, which will be my bay once cleared out. Not 100 percent sure when we will get the other one at the moment. (it is okay to leave that one where it sits for a little longer, as it is not in the way- the manual was in front of Sam and Cody's garage door, so it needed to be moved.)
The idea is to go ahead and yank the engine from the manual, then set the truck aside and roll in the auto to tear it's engine out too.

Noticed a very angry click-click-click coming from the passenger side. Sounded like a CV- and I was right.

Oh, and the old owner had the Haynes Manual for the trucks. So there's $30 I don't have to spend! I like to make sure I have a shop manual for every vehicle I own.

Thanks to @sean266 having posted this on 4runners.com, I am now thinking about exhaust, even though the truck isn't running yet!

Out of all the 3.0 exhaust videos I've listened to, so far this one is the best-sounding to me. Flowmaster 40.

So I learned from the old owner today that apparently the lift on the '91 T4R comes from under a Land Cruiser- at least the rear coil springs do. I don't know about the rest of it, though. I'll have to crawl under it (when it's light) and snap some pictures- that is, if phone doesn't want to be potato.

Nope. I just didn't get around to it today. :D I was so busy today that I was only over there where that truck is for a grand total of two minutes, to pick up a pair of pants and socks I left there the other day. :anonymous: I'll get around to it eventually, should be over that way some time this week!

These will be going on the T4R after I get all the plastiderp off the truck. Made by RuggedT, and I also have DCSBFTMFW and jberry813 to thank for them. They look amazing! Can't wait!

Depends on if the underlying paint is still in good shape or not. What I can see of it in the places where the plastidip is already peeling, it looks good. Same color as the other runner, which I think is roughly the same color that Stonewall used to be. But if I get all the dip off and find that it's not good, I will probably paint it. Might not be the same color as Stonewall, might be desert tan or black. Might even rhino line it, don't know yet.

Okay, so they are slightly different. I know Sammy said they are both green. Just looked up paint colors for the second gen runners. The 90-93's are Forest Green metallic (6J7,) and 94-95 are Evergreen Pearl (751.) Not that I can tell the difference.

Finally got the other 4runner home!

Also learned something new about the 94. I saw a spot on the passenger quarter panel that was peeling, and noticed the color under it. It has probably been wrecked before, because I discovered that it is a different color. It looks silver gray or somethin, rest of truck is green under the plastidip, as far as I know. Peeled a bunch off, cos once I start, it's hard to stop. Very cathartic, ha ha.
Not that I really care, on the account of looks don't matter much to me.
