The good thing about the Thorley Headers is that they are CARB approved. Really wish I could join in on this buy. Unexpected expenses came up. I am SOL on this buy for now.

Are you trying to say the Doug thorleys aren't c.a.r.b approved? What if your car only has the one cat down stream of the header and doesn't need 2 carbs?

If you're buying headers for a tacoma the loing tube headers will eliminate the first cat. conv. but theres another 1 after the long tube ends so you wont be running without a cat.

Shorties will let you keep both.

If you look at the item page on URD It says that if you use longtube headers you might not pass emission tests and you will have a check engine light unless you install an O2 Sensor simulator (Due to removing the first Cat.) which is an extra 80 bucks.

My .02: If you're spending 500 bucks on headers, buy the long tube with the O2 sensor cuz its going to open your engine up the most.

Are the long tube header catless or not? Do this mean I won't pass emissions?

Just installed my long tubes with the rear o2 sims. Worth every penny and fairly easy to install.

Yeah this needs to move faster lol we need more people on the list ASAP cuz I may spend my money on other shit before than lol.

On another note, my 99 only has 1 cat so the long tubes will work without the o2 sim and won't cause me any emission issues or a check engine light right?
