Yeah, that's one reason I don't have one. I use a land line phone and it's always clear as a bell.

It is... and they made an improvement on your newer model. Yours is sleeved where the tubes are joined while mine is butt welded. Sleeves are stronger.

Yes, the sleeved joints are a much better strength wise.

One thing, ill try and get a pic later, is im not sure they fill the tubes with argon while welding. At the sleeved area the weld bled through a lot. Going to debur it before installing.

Just installed my lce header, took about 2 hours in the dark. Hardest part was fitting it back in. Took it for about a 15 mile drive and man what a difference.. definitely highly recommend it. Here's another side by side of old and new, the oem header definitely seems like it chokes the hell out of the engine compared to the lce.

I refinanced my dcsb and got a $500 refund for gap, made it real easy. Anyway, once you see and feel the difference in person it's incredible.

    A thing or two...
I know they did a sale back in September for Labor Day. I bought my header and cat back then. Not sure how often in general they do sales. Maybe sign up for them to email you or just check their webpage around major holidays.

I've been keeping an eye out on them since I bought it in September (missed the sale because I hadn't heard of LCE at the time). I'd hate to buy it and see it go on sale right afterwards. Worst feeling ever.

Gone over the Top for a 5-lug..
I've been running an LCE 'street performance' header, in combo with a re-worked cat-back exhaust setup involving a 22" Magnaflow. I also went over Tooter's extensive findings before hitting the buy-button. I did this in roughly the same time that my 2.7L 5-lug received the Toyota Catalytic/midtube replacement campaign in November 2016... that's now 6 months in.

I'm pleased with my results - I went through Tooter's findings, and went with a large volume canister, using the OEM length 'street performance' LCE header so as to not complicate things unnecessarily in refitting. I am not running any intake changes at this time.

It's a seat of the pants subjective comparison - the truck has picked up some torque in lower rev-ranges, and the sound as the revs build is subtle, yet noticeable.

I have a crappy youtube video of a dash-cam in-cab night time drive - i haven't had the time to clean the windows, and do a day-time windows down shoot yet... but the in-cab sound is pretty accurate.
