I agree. However, At the beginning of the FSM, there is a chapter on how to calculate torque value for bolts. Im only aware of one person that has used it (not me).

So i checked the u-bolts and they were fine 75#. added CB drop, and already have the 1" diff drop installed. still vibrating but much better now. looks like i need to shim the rear. anyone know were i can order them? The rear was lifted 2" so i think i will try the 2deg shim, and thanks for the advice.

the last Haynes manual i owned, i used as a jackpad on my floor jack to protect the cars...it worked GREAT!! lasted for years. in the end, i got a few more uses from it by wrapping it in duct tape. it was a GREAT manual.

    "install in reverse"..hahah.

Have struggled with this issue for 6 months. Lowered the drive shaft...raised the drive shaft...nothing worked...until.....noticed that the mechanic put the rear suspension blocks in backwards (3 degree blocks)! Turned them around and ZERO vibration....Praise the Lord!

A little of this and a little of that.
Glad that you have the vibration sorted out.
Are you saying that you had 3* shims and that they were installed backwards? Thin end facing towards the rear?

I also have a slight shudder/vibe right at roll out after installing OME lift & Dakars. I've installed a CB drop, but haven't installed rear axle shims yet. Yet...

Yes. The 3* shims came with the kit and were installed backwards. If you look at them real quick you can't tell that there is a difference, but when you measure the ends you see it. Turned them around and BOOM...No vibration on acceleration or braking! You probably won't need the CB drop with the 3* shims, but try it and see.

A little of this and a little of that.
I installed the 3* shims and my shudder/vibe at roll out is much better. I kept the CB drop in place, and installed the shim with the thin end facing forward.

I still have to measure my driveline angles, but the transmission shift lever doesn't shake and the truck doesn't shudder on roll out anymore.

Now if I can figure out why my U bolts nuts are flush with the threads...
