I have a new to me 2004 Tacoma double cab, and the driver's side door refuses to stay open. The other three doors will remain open without any issue, but as soon as you take your hand off of this door it will shut itself.

I just installed my lift kit from Toytec, so instead of the door shutting on my knees it will shut on my thighs, which doesn't hurt nearly as bad. :p

Any solutions for this? Perhaps something simple I am overlooking?

same here with my 2000. the passenger door will stay open but the driver door will not. I looked into it theres a black bar by the hinges that keeps it open. maybe replace the parts in it?

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.

X2 i did this on my truck when i bought it and it's good as new now. I think it was like 20 or 25 bucks at the dealer but that was a wile ago and i don't really remember what it cost.
