The drivers seat bottom needs to be replaced. The part that you sit on. Is it hard to replace? Where is the best place to buy from or should I just go to an upholstery shop & have them do it?

    thank you,

I would guess that hiring it done could possibly cost as much as an aftermarket replacement installed DIY. I don't know of a source of seat parts.

I had to do this on my '06. Replacing the outboard part of the foam and reupholstering that same part (it's actually two panels) cost me $200 at a high end shop. They also removed all of the seat fabric on the entire seat, laundered and steam cleaned it, and reattached. Seat looks and feels like new.

I paid $150 today for a auto interior shop to do the install. When I picked it up they mentioned that they added more foam. Couldn’t be happier in the way it turned out.

thank you all for your advice.
