My Driver side window rattles side to side when its about 1"-6" lowered. Annoying as hell.
Anyone else experiencing this? Seems like a lot of side to side play.

    SOLVED

At first I added the Foam to the back sides of both seals to press the window so it doesn't rattle. It solved the rattle but I started to get a whistling noise from the wind, so I removed the foam I put on the outside seal and it still seems to work.

I used foams like these https://www.amazon.ca/uxcell®-Black...F8&qid=1476402142&sr=8-6&keywords=foam+strips
I just had them laying around, so anything that you can fit behind the seal will work.

Ah, nevermind then. If I have my windows cracked and shut the door, you can hear the windows tapping the visors. Thought it may be similar.

Around here they never hear anything, you have to go along on the ride so there is a witness.

If you are paying for the repair, they hear it all.

One of my back windows rattles when rolled down and I shut the door. Had the dealer look at it last week and they said I had a rubber channel missing at the bottom. They ordered the part and I am having it installed Monday. They said it was never installed at the factory. I only have the problem with that one window.

I have this issue, they found out the window channel was loose so they took it out and re installed, 200 miles later it's back but if I take it back im sure they are going to blame it on my in channel vent visors even though the window is lowered enought not touching the visors! Ive been dealing with it for 20k miles

Oh I forgot to say that they took door a part and checked. Everything was tightened like it's supposed to be.

My rear driver window was the same way - take it in, they will fix it. Probably missing a screw.

EDIT: Oops, never mind. I didn't see your post about finding the problem. Ha - beer.

Mine was not sitting in the track when rolled down, missing a screw. Rattled A LOT (obviously) when it was down.

All 4 of my Tacomas have had this issue.

I don't think it will impact the functionality, so don't worry.

The dealer will keep blowing you off until the warranty runs out, then you'll block it out or learn how far to lower the window to avoid the irritating noise.

That was about 2 months after owning it. Wasn't happy to say the least. $3800 later, I just leave it unlocked now
