Some asshole. Busted every car on the street that had locked doors

This pic was the same day. Wasn't exactly clean when they were rubbing all over it

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Been happening since early 2nd gen models. Enjoy the rattle.

Same here, but only 1 window, driver rear on double cab. My dealer fixed it once a few months ago, now it's back and they claim that they can't hear it. Taking it in again next week to ride with them. It's annoying as I prefer to drive with rear windows down and the roof open. I wouldn't care if it were an older truck, but it's a brand new $38k vehicle.

Folks here say embrace it, but since they fixed it once, and the other 3 windows don't it, there's obviously a way for it to not rattle. With the umpteen other issues I've had, I regret purchasing a Toyota.

I had this on my rear drivers side window. It was missing a clip that wasn't installed in the building process. They installed it and been fine since.

I didn't get my truck back yet they called me. They replaced the door/window seal. They stated that there was some tolerance on the door meets the seal. They bought my truck to the body shop to put it closer in specs.

I have same issue. Dealer 1st blamed vent visors. I said not when 2" from visor. Then they actually compared my rattle to a brand new 17 on the lot. Same rattle so as-built condition. No fix. They claimed it was part of the safety no-close-on-fingers bs. Thank you dealer. It is fine if open from 0 to 1". From 1" to 4" have rattle. So I either have it open 3/4" or 4.25". No rattle. Eventually I will remove panel and fix it. It is def annoying as crap when open 2".

Both of my front windows rattle really bad when 1-3 inches lowered. Went to dealer & they said could not duplicate. Now it does it even worse & I made a video of the noise. Can hear it plane at day. Honestly this trucks build quality is really starting to wear on me. Very disappointing.

Thanks for this tip. I added some foam between the outer weather strip and the window and it has thus far fixed my window rattle.

I have the same issue. Toyota is replacing the window channel seal under warranty.

I’ll have to try this too. My window does the same thing. Also, when driver window is all the way up, it makes a friction sound with the rubber molding. I have tried everything and the sound always comes back. Rolling the window down a little solves the friction sound, but then I get the window rattle. It has almost drivin me crazy.
