Please go easy - as you can see, I don't have a lot of posts and I'm no expert here.

I could not find anything on YouTube about my exact problem.

When inside the truck and using the button to lock all the doors, the lever near the D/S door handle does not move and the D/S door does not lock (pulling handle from outside opens the door). You also can't lock the D/S door manually from the inside by flipping the door switch.

The only way to get the D/S door to lock is to go inside, use the Key FOB, then start the truck. (Fortunately, you can lock the door(s) with the FOB when parking.)

Obviously, the switch on the D/S door is disconnected. Anywhere I can find a how-to?

I had to look VERY carefully, but when I watched the above video, I noticed a Tacoma door panel that has an uncanny resemblance to mine.

I am surprised you can remove the whole door panel without any specialized pry-bars (the kinds with the forked-tongues.)

It looks like a 2:45 there is a yellow connector going to the door latch. That must be it.

I never thought to first look for a video about simply removing the door panel. Thanks!!!!
