So... I'm leaving in my buddys car to go to his house in the morning, and on the way out of my driveway, i looked back at my truck, and noticed something very wrong with the rear fender. I jumped out, ran over to my tacoma, and looked at the rear fender, and its totally smashed in. I didnt see it last night when i was driving it, so it must have happened when i had it parked up on the top of my street when i went to work. Anyone have any ideas on how to repair damage to the body as well as the cab on a 1st gen, didnt get a chance to get any photos of it today, but i will post some later when i get the chance. Will this also cause any issues with my gas tank size or leaks?

A body shop might be better than a forum, even after you post pics.

Call your insurance. You have comp, right?

'totally smashed in' sounds like a new (or used) bed is in order.

I got hit by a drunk driver in a 2002 Mercedes E320, in October 2015. Benz was totaled, and my truck had like $2,200 in damage; Left rear fender and rear bumper had to be replaced.

I dont have insurance covering the damage to my truck itself. I didnt think it would be worth it because the truck is only worth 5000$

The fender is (relatively) easy once you drill out the spot welds that hold the fender on. The body is a different story, and who knows what else might be damaged like the wheels, axle, etc...

    pics will help...

Those are before I got the dents in the curve to the fender out. I’m unsure on what type of color match paint to get too. :/

That's not bad at all. The bed seems to be bent...? If you had full coverage I do not think your insurance company would total the truck...

I don’t have full coverage. If the person didn’t do a hit and run I would be able to get compensation if they didn’t have insurance, or I could ask them for money, but since they left I can’t file a claim or anything
