Driver's unlock tied to Front passenger's unlock.

I’m on the process of ordering my stuff for the passenger door handle smart entry mod. Would this harness eliminate my need to run wires to the drivers side from passenger handle?

 

No. The Smart Handle on the Front Passenger's side is connected in parallel to the Driver's Smart Handle. When you approach the vehicle from the Front Passenger's side with a Smart Key or touch the handle the system unlocks the driver's door, but if you have this physical connection to the Front passenger's door then it will also unlock it. The change in the Head Unit settings to unlock ALL DOORS with 1st click or approach of Smart Key to Smart handle. (Driver's or Front Passenger's) does not provide for just the front doors. This does.

Shouldn’t be that hard of a stretch to set to driver’s door and have it unlock both under the smart key mod combined with this change. Could probably also diode away the need for a relay.

 

Not too fond of large amp diodes...they are not readily available for most. A $10.00 relay is.
